The Challenge
With three locations across London, this cocktail bar group should have been dominating local search. Instead, none of their venues appeared in the Google Maps pack for relevant searches like “cocktail bar near me” or “best cocktail bar [area].”
Their Google Business Profiles were incomplete, inconsistent, and riddled with outdated information. They had fewer than 20 reviews per location, and their website had zero local SEO optimisation. Competitors with weaker offerings were capturing all the search traffic.
What We Did
- Google Business Profile optimisation: Fully rebuilt all three profiles with complete information, high-quality photography, accurate categories, and regular Google Posts.
- Local keyword strategy:Developed location-specific landing pages targeting “cocktail bar in [area]” and related long-tail terms, each with unique content and schema markup.
- Review generation programme: Implemented a post-visit review request flow via QR codes on receipts and follow-up messages, growing reviews from under 20 to over 150 per location.
- Local link building: Secured listings and features in Time Out, DesignMyNight, Londonist, and local borough guides to build citation authority.
